You also want to choose a low apr credit card for student and a low interest student credit card. This way if you fall behind on payments there isn't a big hole to dig  yourself out of. Get a student card that fits you and and your needs. You can obtain your student credit card application online. There are lots of special student credit card offers that are designed for the broke college student who needs to spend. Just remember, credit is a loan, not a gift. It can be taken away as quickly as it is given.
