What do you need Visa student cards for? Do you need a Visa student credit card to pay for your text books and for your membership with the Honors Society? Of course you do. You would never use your student Visa for pizza or beer, would you? No, because you're more responsible than that.

Visa is a Sure Thing

You need a Visa as much as anyone else. You deserve one. You are worthy. You are in control. You are ready for your career in the management of many, many cards issued by only the best of banks. Of course you need a Visa--to fund that massive party. (Hey--it's a college student's rite of passage.) Okay, using your Visa to throw a big party might be the start of spending you can't afford at this point. Perhaps you should ask for plenty of Visa gift cards for your birthday and Christmas to fund these bashes. Or you could save your Visa gift card and use it towards the purchase of an iPod and mooch beer from your fellow students.

However, Visa student credit cards are the favorite card of many student who like to purchase beer and rent video games with. Mom often calls asking what type of purchases all hailed from "Las Vegas Liquors." She is wondering if you bought you Anatomy and Physiology text book there. Don't think you're going to pull this off on Dear Old Ma. She knows better. So heed her warning that overuse of student Visa cards can lead to credit card debt. Then you won't have the option to "Chase" rates or Discover a card that pays you back because you've already had your fun.
